Kindergarten Clinic
- All participants need a girls or boys lacrosse stick. No other equipment is required. All participants will receive a PYL pinnie at their first session.
Boys Grades 1-8
- Boys lacrosse stick
- Helmet: Designed for lacrosse and meeting the NOCSAE test requirements. The helmet must have a face mask and a chin strap that is firmly attached.
- Mouthpiece: All players must wear a professionally manufactured intra-oral mouthpiece that fully covers the upper jaw teeth. It can be of any color, but may not be altered to decrease protection.
- Gloves: Padded gloves with unaltered palms are worn for protection that are made specifically for lacrosse. No altering of the palms of gloves of any kind is permitted.
- Shoulder Pads: Shoulder pads that are made specifically for lacrosse, meeting NOCSAE safety requirements.
- Arm Pads: Since the arms are usually near your stick, they may be exposed to contact making arm protection vital. (Pads must be made specifically for lacrosse.)
- Protective Cup: Must be worn at all practices and games
Girls Grades 1-8
- Girls lacrosse stick.
- A professionally manufactured and properly worn mouth guard which shall include an occlusal (protecting and separating the biting surfaces) and a labial (protecting the teeth and supporting structures) portion that covers the posterior teeth with adequate thickness
- Mouth guards cannot be clear or white or have protruding tabs except for the goalkeeper.
- Eye protection or goggles meeting the ASTM certification for women’s lacrosse (F803).
- Close fitting gloves and women's/girl's approved headgear are permitted but not required.
Uniforms-
Boys and Girls Grades 1-8 will need to order their uniforms at Long Island Athletics. New players will be notified when to go to Long Island Athletics to get fitted for uniforms and place their orders. Players will wear uniforms for several seasons and will have the options to replace them every season if needed.

Any number changes must be approved by Plainedge Youth Lacrosse, Long Island Athletics will not permit unauthorized uniform number changes.
